Cedric Lee Airs His Side On Vhong Navarro Mauling Incident

Cedric Lee has come forward to tell his version of the mauling incident involving comedian Vhong Navarro.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Lee insisted that Navarro attempted to rape his friend Deniece Cornejo. Below is his side of the story:

"We were supposed to go out together... We were supposed to pick up Ms. Deniece Cornejo from her condo unit at Forbeswood in The Fort. We arrived at around 10:30 to 11:00, I forgot the exact time. When went up to the second floor, upon reaching the door of her condo unit, we heard some screaming inside. So we thought baka may nag-aaway lang. Fortunately, the door was unlocked so were able to go inside. Wala namang tao doon sa sala tapos dumiretso kami sa bedroom dahil yung bedroom naman nila ay kurtina lang, walang pintuan. Nakita ko doon ang isang lalaking nakahubad na, nakababa na yung shorts niya, nakapatong kay Deniece at si Deniece ay nagsisigaw at nagpapapadyak sa lalaki. So ang instinct ko is I grab him from the back at hinila ko siya pababa ng kama. Si Deniece tumakbo na sa sister ko at inilabas na siya ng sister ko sa condo unit. So ang naiwan sa condo ay ako, yung lalaki na hindi ko pa kilala at that time na si Vhong at yung isa naming kasama. Pumapalag 'tong lalaking 'to nung, Napagtulungan namin siya.." (Updating...)

Lee is a businessman and is the father of the daughter of singer-actress Vina Morales. Lee and Morales are not anymore a couple.

Vhong Navarro seems to be the one telling the truth since the CCTV footage supports his version of the events on the night he was mauled beaten.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) released Wednesday the actual and complete CCTV video which captured the people getting in and out of the lobby and elevator of Forbeswood Heights condominium in Taguig City on January 22, 2014.

Below are the highlights of the said CCTV footage released by NBI:

10:38PM - Vhong Navarro entered the condominium alone.

10:39PM - Vhong Navarro entered the elevator and went up to the second floor of the building.

10:40PM - Deniece Cornejo was seen riding the elevator towards the first floor and leaving the condominium.

10:41PM - Cedric Lee entered the building. Lee then rode the elevator and went out also at the second floor at 10:43 p.m.

10:43PM - Two more men, said to be Cedric Lee's friends, entered the condominium lobby and used the elevator as well.

11:01PM - Deniece Cornejo went back inside the condo with Bernice Lee.

11:13PM - Seven men, including Vhong Navarro and Cedric Lee, and the two women, Bernice lee and Deniece Cornejo, exited the building.

NBI is still seeking the rest of the CCTV footages to determine when and where the rest of the men entered.

A video narrating the fascinating love story of a man from the Philippines and a woman from Canada, whose online long distance relationship turned into marriage, is currently making the rounds on social networks.

In the 11-minute video, Romel Sindol of General Santos City related that his relationship with Quebec native Elodie Pelletier started with a friend request on Facebook on November 2009. They've been chatting on the popular networking site, on Skype, and on MSN since then, which eventually led to them developing feelings for each other. Two years after, she decided to take a flight halfway around the world to finally meet him. It was their first meeting ever and it only made their relationship stronger. But she had to go back to Canada. So after she left, they went back to exchanging messages online. Over a year later, she returned to Philippines to marry the love her life. He's now 22 and she's 19 years old.

The said video has been shared more than 42,000 times on Facebook, as of this posting. It has also attracted over 7,000 comments.

Romel and Elodie's story only proves that relationships can still work despite being thousands of miles apart and that finding love online is very much possible.

On Tuesday, popular wedding videographer Jason Magbanua released via Vimeo the video of the celebrity couple's private wedding ceremony held at Meditation Point, Kawayan Cove in Nasugbu, Batangas on Friday.

The secret wedding was attended by Villania's and Arellano's family and friends, including showbiz personalities Nikki Gil, Shaina Magdayao, Angel Aquino, Cheska Garcia-Kramer, Matteo Guidicelli, Iza Calzado, Kim Atienza, Paolo Valenciano, among others.

Villania, 27, and Arellano, 34, started dating almost ten years ago after meeting in the set of the defunct Kapuso teen show "Click."

Tado Jimenez Dead: Comedian Killed In Mountain Province Bus Accident

Tado Jimenez is dead. The comedian was among the fifteen people who were killed in a bus accident in Mountain Province early Friday morning, February 7.

According to the local police, the Florida Trans Bus was carrying more than 40 passengers when it fell into a 120-meter-deep ravine at around 7:20 a.m. in Sitio Paggang, Barangay Talubin, Bontoc town.

Fifteen people, including two foreign nationals and Jimenez, died on the spot, while 32 others sustained injuries.

Arvin "Tado" Jimenez, 39, is survived by his wife and four kids. He was known for the offbeat television program "Strangebrew" and the U92 radio program "The BrewRATs!."

His nickname "Tado" was derived from a Tagalog expletive he frequently blurts out.

German Marc Sueselbeck, boyfriend of murdered Filipino transgender Jennifer Laude, might be in trouble for climbing the fence of a military facility on Wednesday.

According to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Sueselbeck violated the Presidential Decree No. 1227, or the law Punishing Unlawful Entry into Any Military Base in the Philippines when he climbed the perimeter fence of the MDB-SEB facility in Camp Aguinaldo where murder suspect US Marine Private First Class Joseph Scott Pemberton is detained.

The AFP said it will submit a letter to the German Embassy and the Bureau of Immigration regarding the German national's misbehavior, claiming Sueselbeck also assaulted the on-duty Filipino soldier guarding the holding facility by forcefully shoving him.

"We also like to ascertain through the German Embassy the true identity and pertinent background information about Mr Sueselbeck whose misbehavior caught the attention of Philippine authorities," it said. "It is understood that any foreign nationals who visit the Philippines shall follow Philippine laws. The AFP will deal with the incident accordingly through proper channels."

Jennifer's sister, Marilou, first climbed the fence and Sueselbeck followed after she made her way in. They said they were protesting the "special treatment" accorded Pemberton.

A man in Badoc, Ilocos Norte got ecstatic when he won five sheep from a raffle recently. He became more delighted after finding out that two of them were actually pregnant.

But the surprise did not stop there for Nestor Aganon, who didn't have any experience on raising sheep before winning the raffle. A few months later, one of the ewes gave birth to a lamb with an unusually huge eye in the middle of its face, leaving Aganon speechless.

The farmer is now hoping that the cyclops lamb will bring him more luck. Aganon said he has no plans of selling his new-found lucky charm.

According to experts, genetic problems or toxins cause such birth defect in animals medically referred to as cyclopia, which occurs when the brain doesn't divide into two lobes early in the pregnancy.

LET Results August 2014 - Teachers Board Exam List Of Passers

The results of the August 2014 LET or the Licensure/Board Exam for Teachers  have been released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Monday, October 27, 2014.

According to the PRC, a total of 25,301 elementary teachers out of 70,786 examinees (35.74%) and 26,767 secondary teachers out of 77,803 examinees (34.40%) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T.) given last August 17, 2014 in Hong Kong and 24 testing centers all over the Philippines. Of the 25,301 elementary teacher passers, 21,649 are first timers and 3,652 are repeaters, while for the secondary teachers, 23,820 passers are first timers and 2,947 are repeaters, it said.

The government agency further stated that exam results of six examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examination.

PRC added that registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on November 5, 2014. The requirements for the issuance of Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Card (ID) are the following: 1) duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal; 2) latest Community Tax Certificate (Cedula); 3) 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag); 4) metered documentary stamp for the Oath Form; and 5) the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2014-2017. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The dates and venues for the oathtaking ceremonies are yet to be announced, it continued.

Pinoy pageant fans got worried when they heard about Bianca Guidotti, Philippines' bet to this year's Miss International beauty contest, getting "rushed to a hospital due to skin asthma."

According to beauty pageant blog NormanNorman, Guidotti had to see a doctor yesterday because of a skin irritation which may have been triggered by something she ate or got in close contact with. Nevertheless, the Filipina candidate is doing fine now, the blog adds.

The 25-year-old humanitarian worker hopes to replicate the achievement of her predecessor Bea Rose Santiago, who was crowned Miss International last year.

Guidotti graduated with a degree in European Studies major in International Relations from the Ateneo de Manila University. She currently works as a Technical Assistant of the Executive Director at the Community and Family Services International.

The said report, however, should not be believed because it is all made up. As stated on its About page, The Philippine Pride is "a satirical and entertainment website and should not be taken seriously. This site is just a product of creative thinking when boredom strikes."

The report states that the 34-year-old actor "was found dead Friday afternoon in his Manhattan apartment after police responded to a wellness check requested by a family member."

Apparently, it is all a hoax. The actor/musician himself put the rumors to rest by posting a photo on Twitter along with the caption, "We're on tour you silly people." He then followed it up with a picture showing him and his friend recreating a scene from "Weekend At Bernie's," a 1989 comedy flick in which two men pretend that their murdered boss is still alive.

It is the second time that Culkin fell victim to a death hoax this year.

Macaulay Culkin is best known for his role as Kevin McCallister in "Home Alone" movie series. He is a member of a New York-based, pizza-themed comedy rock band called The Pizza Underground.

The Philippines' Pop Star Princess' rendition of the song will have its own music video which will debut on the Disney Channel on December 6th.

Originally sung by Shannon Saunders, "The Glow" was used during the induction of Rapunzel into the Disney Princess franchise as the 10th princess in 2011.

Mister International 2014 Postponed Again

Mister International 2014 has been moved to another date yet again.

The ninth edition of the male beauty competition will be held on February 14, 2015 in Seoul, South Korea. Organizers said the South Korean government decided to suspend all major events to be held this year following a concert accident that killed sixteen people last month.

"Once again, we sincerely seek your kind understanding in our difficult position at this time," the Mister International organizers said in a press release. "It has been a most trying challenge for us to get the pageant going. We are truly apologetic for any inconvenience caused to you and your contestant."

Originally scheduled in October, the pageant was earlier postponed to November 29 because three members of the organizers sustained serious injuries from a traffic accident in September.

Police officer Mariano Flormata Jr. will be representing the Philippines in the contest.

Maria Sharapova, along with several big names in the world of tennis, is currently in the Philippines for the International Premier Tennis League which is being held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Apparently, this is not the first time the 27-year-old Russian athlete visited the county. Just a few weeks prior to the tournament, Sharavopa spent a vacation with her friends in Palawan, which recently received the distinction as the "most beautiful island in the world."

"I love it," she said in an interview with ABS-CBN sportscaster Dyan Castillejo. "How beautiful, how calm, how peaceful it was, the culture in general. The people were so generous, it made the trip so great."

In one of her Instagram pictures, the tennis superstar is seen enjoying the crystal clear water of the island paradise.

"Vacation in one picture. I'll see you soon #Philippines #nofilter," she wrote in the caption.

 According to reports, Sharapova stayed in Amanpulo during her first visit in the country.
